Dara Molloy has been performing wedding blessings and marriage ceremonies for almost 30 years.
For the last 10 years, or so, the ceremonies he performs are independent of any particular church or institution.
Who is Dara:
He is a Celtic priest and monk and is married with four small children. He belongs to the Celtic spiritual tradition but not to any formal church, sect or cult as he is freelance and self-employed. He is not a registrar for the State. Civil registration must be done separately.
What Dara offers:
An indoor or outdoor ceremony
Anywhere - Dara's home is in the West of Ireland but he will travel
A personalised ceremony - Dara will take you where you are at and create a ceremony to suit you
Dara will perform ceremonies for homosexual and lesbian couples as well as for heterosexual couples
Dara's ceremonies can be Christian, pagan, nature based, as Gaeilge, or any combination of spiritual traditions and rituals. You decide, he helps with resources and advice.
Dara will meet you beforehand if you wish
He will conduct most of the planning with you by e-mail and phone
If you need him to, he will arrive the night before the wedding
If you invite Dara, he will stay for the celebrations and say grace at the meal.
The ceremony can include a Celtic Handfasting which is the origin of 'tying the knot'.
He is particularly happy to perform a marriage ceremony on the Aran Islands, where he lives (Inis Mór). On Aran, there are some fabulous outdoor locations, and a good hotel. He can help with all the logistics of organising a wedding on Aran.
He will also perform vow renewal ceremonies and anniversary celebrations.
The ceremony itself will be the very best that I can do for you. I will go the extra mile.
